Typically, Coyotecry rarely took time to himself. It was difficult enough as it was to find the time to rest and relax beyond sleeping at night, and something always seemed to come up when he wanted to take time to himself. Part of him didn't mind though, the needs of the clan would always come first. Today was the first chance he's had in a long time where the seal point tom was able to rest and relax for himself, without worrying about other needs. Of course, things would surely be turned in the wrong direction as the sound of a clanmate laying down beside him roused him from his sleep. With a groan, he'd blink open a solitary eye as he gazed over his shoulder at the clanmate. "Taking time to yourself?"

"Oh! I'm sorry, Coyotecry. Did I disturb your sleep?" Celandinepaw mewed as she lay her fatigued body next to the seal point, with a voice more like an indolent lull than anything marred with inklings of concern, lolling lazily upon the whims of rolling skies. She knew the older warrior worked as hard as he could to care for Windclan, and the medicine cat apprentice could hardly blame him for carving a break out for himself. Folding her paws beneath her warmer undersides, her verdant gaze blinked a few times as she soaked in the peace and quiet of the camp. What a good time for a nap. She thought before she continued prattling onwards. "I'm just soooo tired today. I had to wake up, like, before the sun even came out. Which I usually do anyways, but last night Stormpaw kept me up with her vomiting. Thankfully, it was just a bad piece of prey and nothing serious, but-" A yawn wracked through her very body as she exhaled. "- it still kept me up, y'know?" Reedlike tail flicked behind her, like a loon bobbing its head by the riverside, lounging just upon the empty space where it could rustle about. "But how are you? Any unusual tiredness or injuries or whatnot?

  • OUT OF CHARACTER. Assumed he was outside any dens, lmk if that's not the case!

    — MEDICINAL EXPERTISE: Celandinepaw is the current medicine cat apprentice of Windclan. Although she is quite new to her position, she also has much expertise with treatment regarding infectious diseases and basic remedies. As for anything more complex... you're better off asking a more experienced medicine cat.

A meadowlark clutched in his fangs, Sedgepounce makes his way to a quiet corner of camp to tuck into his meal, waving his tail in greeting toward the few cats already laying there. He's no stranger to downtime. Though he's not quite a slacker as in his apprenticeship, Sedgepounce knows the benefit to kicking up his paws now and again. It does WindClan no good to run all their warriors ragged.

"Yer f'askin' Coyotecry tha'?" Sedgepounce tries to say, but a feather has stuck itself to his sandpapery tongue. "Blegh. Ugh—I mean, I'm shocked you're not up, like, holding up the gorse wall right now or something." He spares the elder warrior a lighthearted smile. Coyotecry's a hard worker, is all. Sedgepounce is glad to see him taking it easy for a change!

All of WindClan seems to have woken up to a sudden chill today... Pinkshine has spent most of the day with a wrinkled muzzle and her ears pinned to her head, fighting of the suddenly gusts of wind that would come her way. She'd kind of jealous that Coyotecry can seemingly tough it out so easily... Celandinepaw too. Maybe Moor-runners were more used to withstanding the cold? Moor-runners and former moor-runners, of course. " It's cold today, isn't it? And you guys are just sitting out here? " Her smile is just barely there. But... these are her friends. She should glad in their presence... " I could nap in a tunnel, maybe... "

She angles a sympathetic blink toward Celandinepaw. Poor Celandinepaw... and poor Stormpaw, of course. " Awww, I hope you get some better sleep tonight... Prey's already gettin' scarce and stuff, too bad it made her sick... Do you guys think its gonna get scarcer...er? I mean, like, obviously Leaf-bare is coming but I mean... " She trails off, a shiver briefly making her small form tremble. " It's soooo cold... " She returns Sedgepounce's waved greeting. " Don't give him any ideas... "

Pinkshine's realizing how little she'd missed Leaf-bare right about now. Last time... gosh, they had been cooped up in Horseplace, hiding from Sootstar in her cats... Has it really been that long? And now... the cat they had all went to Horseplace for was gone...

...Sunstar helped them all. Him... him being gone now didn't change that. The reminder didn't really make her feel any better...

" Gonna cuddle with you guys, " she announces suddenly, before promptly slumping against Celandinepaw's side.
