    slatepaw is an average-sized, skinny, sh black tuxedo with a single white marking on his chest. he has pale green eyes and carries fever coat, which gives his black coat a slight smoke appearance.

    under his clan's high expectations and his father's ruthless training, ravenpaw will be in a constant state of near breaking point. while usually quiet and reclusive, he has a hair-trigger temper as pressure gradually builds, and will often appear snippy or cold, even if he never intends to. ravenpaw battles with constant paranoia and, while he doesn't interact with his clanmates much if at all, you will never find him completely alone - he lingers around groups of cats and never leaves camp by himself. ravenpaw is fearful and untrusting of the cats around him, especially his father. very little good comes out of his unhealthy mindset, but what can be taken from it is high observance and perseverance. ravenpaw is very calculative and observant of who he meets and is very unlikely to stick around a cat he deems as unhealthy or dangerous to be around, with the exception of his father. a downside to this is, again, his reclusiveness and distrust. another 'positive' trait is his perseverance; while he teeters on the edge, he won't allow himself to ever fully hit rock bottom, both because this would be a disservice to his clan and his own hard work, and because he still has a sliver of hope that things can get better.

  • The Runaway
    slatepaw was born to adelaide and lynxtooth alongside ashpaw and gravelpaw. the three were raised by adelaide and a riverclanner named silverfoot, without the presence of their abusive father - until at about two moons when lynxtooth returned to take back what was 'stolen' from him: his kits. while ashpaw and silverfoot were missing from the scene, lynxtooth took the life of adelaide, and brought the two remaining kits to windclan where they would be raised to be soldiers under sootstar.

    now a windclan apprentice, slatepaw suffers under his father's training, who uses abusive and cruel tactics. he struggles to keep up with his brother, who excels in training while slatepaw is weak in almost every field.

    one day, the stars aligned and slatepaw ran into his sister ashpaw at the riverclan border. recognizing each other almost immediately, he'll continue to meet with her while keeping her identity a secret: both for her safety and for his own selfish reasons.
