Carefully groomed fur would shine alongside her eyes reflecting the moon's light as it rose in the sky. A yawn would escape her jaws as she laid her head upon her paws, curled comfortably inside her nest. The day had been long and rewarding, leaving her thankful for the opportunity to lay down with her denmates and slowly slip off to sleep. A chorus of voices would begin to sound off in the den, leaving Softpaw to politely find a response herself. "Goodnight!" A smile upon her maw, she would return to her attempts of sleeping, however, it wouldn't be long before some of her fellow apprentices stumbled into the den in a rather boisterous manner, nearly tripping over her on their way to their nests.

"Some of us are trying to sleep.... do you mind keeping it down? Perhaps avoiding tripping over us would be beneficial as well?" Offering the young felines an apologetic smile of her own, she hoped that her tone hadn't been harsher than intended. Her only goal had been to simply request them to take more care when returning to the den later than others. An argument was the last thing on her mind, especially at this hour.

Sleep came quickly to Owlpaw, she was the type to fall asleep as soon as she got comfortable in her nest. However, she fought to stay awake so she could call out a tired "goodnight" before letting herself drift to sleep. The sound of a ruckus stole her from her hard earned rest, looking around with a yawn before rising from her nest.

Carefully moving between the few denmates that were still sleeping she hovered next to Softpaw, keeping an eye on the other apprentices. "Are you okay Softpaw? Do you need to visit Dawnglare at all?" she asked as she gave her a cursory glance to make sure that she's okay.

Owlpaw's voice was quick to chime in, and Softpaw found herself giving the molly a lick of reassurance on her head as she offered a hushed response. "I'm alright. The younger apprentices just need to learn to watch where their paws are going is all." A soft giggle would follow, as the apprentice cast a teasing glance in the direction of the apprentices. With Owlpaw's offer to escort her to Dawnglare's den, she shook her head gently. "I promise I'm alright. I think I was more startled than hurt." Grateful that she had a friend willing to look out for her, she would glance around the den as she reassured her friend, ensuring that everyone else in the den was settled and doing well.

In her patch of nest beneath the ferns, strung with the wilting remnants of hyacinths and marked with a shiny black feather, Cherrypaw glowers at all involved. Being so near to the end of her training was never a factor in how hard Slate pushed her; if anything, she had more on her shoulders now she was fully-grown, even if the tips of her ears would only ever reach his chin. At least she was taller than her mother now. Who had let Slate stay the night in her den, apparently. "Owlpaw, did you really ask if she needs to go to Dawnglare for being stepped on?" she drawls. The girl delicately props up her cheek on her scarred paw, a subtle display of "what really warranted the medicine den."

Unsatisfied with how much of her current annoyance she'd dished out so far, she sends a concentrated beam of scrutiny at the tongue gracing her sister's forehead, then rolls her eyes. "If you step on me, you're getting your paw bitten off, mmkay?" she snaps saccharinely, swiveling her floodlight glare towards the younger apprentices.

"Always such a grump, Cherrypaw!" Came the shriller voice of Spottedpaw, but the apprentice quickly swallowed back his words and forced his voice to lower to attempt at sounding more 'masucline' like, "It just a mere goodnight, sweet dreams!," The young tortie point smiled a bit as he knew the other was rather annoyed with the whole den situation. Though Softpaw hadn't meant to cause a stir he was sure and he was more than willing to defend someone against Cherrypaw. She was also so prickly and he never understood why. Was being serious that important?

Spottedpaw then nestled back down in his nest and curled up comfortably in the mossy texture. The pointed apprentice wondered what the others would be talk about though. Seemed like a lot has happened and he must've missed it while on patrol! The young cat flicked a dark furred ear a bit before shrugging and laying his head down, but didnt quite close his eyes yet.

"So bossy Cherrypaw." The sliver and cream calico of one Oddpaw, drawls out with a roll of his eyes. He was tucked in his own nest near the back, weaved with the wilting remains of flower petals and moss. He had been awakened by the chatter of his clanmates, twisting his neck around to look at the other apprentices. "Anyways, goodnight, everyone." He sing-songs with a smooth tone of his voice. Ignoring what replies the others said or not to his answer. He curls his skinny form comfortably around in his nest, tail wrapping around himself. The ruckus stole his earned rest, so he just lays there quietly. Eventually sleep grips him in its claws, slipping into his foggy dreams breathing softly.

Concerned for Softpaws wellbeing she sat down beside her nest, making sure to not obstruct anyone else's. Her sisters voice drew her attention towards her, Owlpaw stared at her scarred paw, that concerned look not leaving her face. "I did Cherrypaw, even the smallest of cuts or scrapes should probably be looked at" she was nothing if not cautious, it might not be a big deal but she wanted to make sure.

The lick of reassurance calmed her nerves enough though, if Softpaw thought that she was fine then she would take her word for it. "if you're sure.. if you want to go at any point come get me okay? I'll go with you, goodnight" Owlpaw gave her one final lingering look before she weaved back between her denmates nests, whispering a soft "goodnight" as she passed by the other awake apprentices.
