THUNDERCLAN MENTOR / APPRENTICE MATCHMAKING

Name: Bearcloud
Activity level: Casual
What kind of mentor would they be?: Bearcloud would be pretty laid-back, not putting a lot of pressure on his apprentice and laying on the praise a little too thick. He would be a bit of a pushover if his apprentice broke the rules, giving a small lecture about it but not giving any real punishments. He enjoys teaching others and seeing their skills improve and he'd be very patient if his apprentice was struggling to grasp his teachings. He'd work well with more timid apprentices but would find it hard to handle a troublemaker. Do with that info what you will.

Name: onepaw
Activity level: semi-active
What kind of mentor would you like for them?:
onepaw needs a mentor that can keep up with her overflowing energy and can keep her mind focused on her tasks. someone that knows how to divert and put that energy into positive jobs and have her complete her work without getting sidetracked. As well as someone who is generally fun and that can push her and she bonds with them on a good level as well

Name: @CRANETUFT.
Activity level: Active (10-15 posts / month)
What kind of mentor would they be?: Cranetuft is rather easygoing, and would be more akin to a helicopter parent than an apprentice. They will do anything to make sure their apprentice is safe, though this may lead to them not being able to grow as they should. They will be very straight forward in what they want, though will take time to listen to them. All and all, they are willing to get the job done, though they may see the apprentices as more akin to their own children than anything.

What kind of mentor would you like for them?: anyone who can handle him... he's still half-feral

Name: scarkit
Activity level: semi-active
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: scarkit is a child of redflower and skyclaw, tasked with one day slaying flamestar and bringing his father's will back into power over thunderclan. scarkit's mentor will be pivotal in deciding whether he goes through with this task or becomes genuinely loyal to thunderclan. he's quiet, troubled, and has a warped view of how the world works. a mentor that is kind and patient enough to steer him in the right direction will help to ensure that he sees the error of skyclaw and redflower's ways. a mentor that scarkit doesn't get along with, or even fears, will likely cement his mother's teachings.

that being said, i'm open to either plot route at the end of the day! :3c

Name: Dayfern
Activity level: Semi-Active (though Gonna try to be Active)
What kind of mentor would they be?: Patient and Kind. Dayfern cares a lot about kits and the younger cats and has a particular soft spot for them. Though this doesn't mean she will baby them. She instead strives to make sure any apprentice of hers would be able to flourish and thrive on their own. She is not the Best at straight forward combat, her strength lies in tracking and hunting, but she would do her best to teach an apprentice how to use their size to their advantage. If they are small like her, she would teach them dodging and weaving, her own battle tactics. If they are larger then her she would use her own size to show them their weakness' against a smaller and potentially faster cat. In the end her goal is to make sure any apprentice of hers is able to survive and thrive in this world they live in.

Name: @FALCONHEART
Activity level: Casual (aiming for 5 posts per month)
What kind of mentor would they be?: With the experience of training two apprentices under his belt now, Falconheart has gained new confidence as a mentor. He is sweet and supportive of his trainee(s) and he can be counted on to back up his apprentice against anything that threatens them. Since his first two apprentices graduated, he has found himself feeling extremely lonely, so if he was assigned a new apprentice he would be constantly looking for ways to spend time with them, coming up with new training methods, taking them on every single patrol with him, etc. He's very knowledgeable about the territory and ThunderClan as a whole, but he's also very open and honest about things that he's unsure of. Falconheart is a strong fighter only under duress, so his battle training would be mainly focused on self-defense and strategies to get out of a fight unharmed. His specialties are hunting and climbing, and a lot of his training would be focused around hunting efficiently.

Name: Stormywing
Activity level: Active
What kind of mentor would they be?:
Stormywing is a driven mentor who is deeply invested in the growth and development of her apprentice. She focuses on practical skills like hunting and fighting, but emphasizes skills that align with her own strengths (speed, agility, and climbing). Her training sessions are intense and fast-paced, and apprentices are likely returning home sore and aching for their nest. Her approach is a bit unorthodox as she prioritizes hands-on experience over traditional lessons, preferring to throw her apprentices into real-world scenarios to learn by doing. This means more time on the move, exploring the borders, and practicing combat on intruders. Despite her intensity, she's fiercely protective and supportive of her apprentices. She pushes them to their limits, but always with an underlying concern for their well-being. Her high expectations might be daunting, but they come with a genuine belief in her apprentices' potential. She offers encouragement and praise when deserved, though if her apprentice struggles to progress her impatience might shine through. Overall, Stormywing is the kind of mentor who hopes to inspire resilience and courage in her apprentices, and wants to instill a strong sense of independence and confidence. Her apprentices will learn to think on their paws, adapt quickly, and never back down from a challenge.

Name: Meadowfur
Activity level: high casual (aiming for 10+ posts a month but this is subject to change)
What kind of mentor would they be?: Meadowfur would be a demanding but fair mentor, expecting discipline and effort while ensuring her apprentice develops strong, practical skills. She wouldn't tolerate laziness but would be patient with genuine mistakes, correcting them with firm but constructive criticism. She'd push for independence, drilling her apprentice on survival skills and adaptability. While emotionally distant at first, she'd show approval through actions rather than words, gradually trusting them with more responsibilities. Loyalty and respect would be non-negotiable—slacking off or disobedience would earn sharp reprimands, but dedication would make her fiercely proud, even if she doesn't always say it outright.

Name: orangeheart (for april when he is eligible )
Activity level: moderate to high ( 10-15+ monthly )
What kind of mentor would they be?: orangeheart is a kinder mentor, taking the road of doing things kindly. while he would teach how to fight, mostly for wild animals, he would not outright encourage the offensive fighting towards cats specifically. still, he will teach the necessary skills that he was taught by his mentors, butterflyskip and leafhusk, in order to make more warriors. he will excel with tracking and hunting more than fighting but there will be a balance. he will teach morals, and overall teach his apprentice that being kind helps in the long way. this may or may not affect the type of warrior that they become.

Name: stagsnarl
Activity level: casual to moderate ( 5-10 monthly )
What kind of mentor would they be?: theyd be more rough and straight forward but never mean or never pushing their apprentice too far. theyd teach their apprentice to be a fighter through and through, to never back down and to always protect those they love first and foremost. they would struggle a bit with the way they were taught versus they way they will be teaching which leaves it open to so mentor/apprentice conflict down the line.

Name: Keoghan ~> Copperpaw (fur color)
Activity level: High-Casual (Maybe 25+ posts per week)
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: Definitely someone who appreciates questions and an adventurous spirit. Despite being a bit unstable from how fast everything has moved, Key retains his observational nature and will take his studies very seriously, if only to live another day. Relationship-wise, Keoghan might be a bit cold to them while he works off the last vestiges of mistrust, but it is likely he will count whoever mentors him among his friends from then on.
