longhaired red spotted tabby with green eyes / toyhouse
steve is a short, broad red-furred cat who looks just as kind as he is. his pelt is spotted with dark, broken stripes, and his underside is noticeably paler than the rest of him. he wears a dark forest-green collar with a silver buckle, and a tinny-sounding bell hanging from it.

— with all the innocence and gullibility of a sheltered house cat, snailheart is not much better than a guileless kit. he is eager to greet clanmates each morning, being among the first daylight warriors to wake and make the trek to camp. his kindness extends to everyone that he meets; he sees no reason to dislike or distrust anyone until they have harmed him. even after he’s been harmed, though, snailheart is quick to forgive and forget.

backstory / simplified history
an only child, largely ignored by his parents, steve grew up in a wealthy twoleg household. he was kept indoors for most of his life, only able to see out through the windows. it was a lonely life of watching other cats talking and playing while he was isolated.
one day he finally managed to go outside, and promptly got lost in the forest outside. he attempted to climb a tree and immediately failed, and was greeted by several skyclan cats. one of them led him back to his home, where he remained for a few more moons, though he did wander the twolegplace more often.
then one day he saw the faces of a few skyclanners again—they were hopelessly lost, and this time it was his turn to help them find their way home. he fell in love with the clan lifestyle, and decided that he would stay in the clan during the days before returning back to his home at night.
