[ please wait for @Ospreypaw ♡ this is for a splake !!! ]
Splashpaw ambles by the river, letting the water wash over her paws to cool her off from the warm greenleaf air. She's quiet, for once, watching the edges of the river, trying to spy if their borders will have visitors while she's out on patrol. She's somehow grateful that although her parents broke a code, they chose to avoid Clans that neighbor each other - lest she be found far sooner than intended. Her gaze flutters lower, into the ripples of the water, and she spies something... colorful. She can tell from here that it's not a fish, but her curiosity begs her to get a closer look.
"Hey, Ospreypaw -" she knows as soon as she speaks that she's chosen the wrong partner to go out into the water with her. Her gaze falls back to the pretty tabby and she tries not to waver, "Swim out with me? I just want to get that... thing, out of the water." It looks like the rubbish that they've already been pulling out for weeks. Splashpaw figures it's better to retrieve it now rather than in a season's time - though she doesn't exactly know how the river works, and where things go if they're not pulled out first thing.
Regardless, she gets her confirmation from the other apprentice and heads out first, pushing off the river bank and paddling her legs as best she can. A little wobbly still, but she holds her head above water and treads it fairly well. She keeps her back towards Ospreypaw, focusing on her goal to gather the last of the twoleg garbage.
