𓆩✧𓆪 — Blazingpaw had several moments where he found himself alone with several thoughts that plagued him and all of them were different. There was ones that kept thinking about Wolfpaw wondering if they were safe wherever she was or even alive, his training on the other paw, and his father recently having been injured the last moon. It seemed a lot of bad things happened to his family and it felt very unfair but he decides not to dwell on it further, the red tabbied apprentice sitting in the clearing of camp staring at his paws proceeding to unsheathe and sheath his claws with ears pressed flat against his skull. In a few moons, he'd become a warrior and that itself seems daunting... Would he pass his assessment or fail terribly only to end up in the apprentice den another moon? He thinks about his dad and his mama pondering if they'd be disappointed or even the mentor that he had up until she had departed to the nursery. What would his warrior name be? Several thousands of questions and thoughts flooded his mind but only one seemed to be at the front of everything, it stood out the most to him.

That's a part of him or rather her, Blazingpaw holds her breath wondering who to go to first... Hawkpaw or their parents? Russet paws push her to stand up right and notices a few passing by. He isn't as confident as he once was... That had been moons ago but as he stands here does he part his jaws to speak "I... Uhm... I'd like to be... called she and he if possible. I guess... I'm not just a tom but... uhm..." She realizes that this is a lot harder than she initially first thought and the red tabbied moggie stumbles about on her words. A lot of things in her life hadn't felt right or fair but this? This felt right. It's scary and it makes her forget to breathe yet she reminds herself that her kin would be accepting for who he or she is. "Uh yeah..." Blazingpaw awkwardly finishes feeling her entire face burning with slight embarrassment but deep down, the warrior to-be feels pride to be speaking out.

Better now than later, she thinks.

blazingpaw's a sharp tongued apprentice that can oftentimes come off as insensitive or uncaring even if it isn't necessarily his intent upon first meeting. he's rather prickly due to several events in his life and seen tense for the most part, all of his opinions are IC only.

The world was cruel to those with daunting thoughts, so burdened by the very mind they seek to understand. Charcoal paws carry him like a ghost through camp, lost in his own thoughts for a moment- as if his mind was stolen yet occupied, wisped away from itself. He envisions deep grene eyes, filled with a tenderness that only he knew- or did he? Was the world truly so good to him, that he could not see his best friend's smile one last time? As if gazing only upon him, shining the spotlight of affection only on him.

It is not good for the mind to dwell on these things. He thinks to himself bitterly, thoughts soon broken by the sound of his nephew's voice. Blazingpaw calls out to his clanmates, beckoning for their attention- an announcement, important to him. Wolfpaw is nowhere to be seen, and had not for quite some time now. He wondered, did Blazingpaw feel the emptiness of that space? Did it consume him so, similarly to how his own life felt, without his siblings? Alas, the announcement is made.

Blazingpaw wishes to be referred to as he and she. Not an unfamiliar topic, for he could remember the very talk the apprentices had many moons ago when another clanmate had come out. A gentle smile graces his muzzle, familiar steps forward to his now.. Nibling. "It is brave of you to come to terms with such a thing and voice it openly, young Blazingpaw." He nods his head, reassured of his own confidence in his family. They all remind me so much of you, pa. He thinks to himself, a shine of pride bubbling in his chest as he seats himself close to Blazingpaw. His head tilts downwards, nose touching his nibling's forehead before pulling back with a smile. "We love you very dearly, nibling. No matter what." He hums, cloudy eyes staring proudly at the moggie.

The last time Silversmoke had spoken to the red tabby was amidst an argument, the memory was one that had stayed with the Lead Warrior whenever he was reminded of Howlfire's kid. But the tom, whose pointed stares and tense body could often be seen throughout the day, was wholly relaxed as Blazingpaw told the clan of her true identity. He, she, both or neither, Silversmoke had never sought issue with it. One's prowess as a SkyClanner had always mattered more to him than gender or personal life, but, having witnessed such coming outs enough to know he shouldn't be so apathetic, Silversmoke shuffled forwards. "No problems here," he huffed, as if such a thing would've ever been possible in his clan. No one had a bad word to say about anyone for very long, save for a few pockets of cat; even then, he doubted they would share anything but love for Blazingpaw in such a vulnerable moment. Heterochromatic eyes trace the scars upon the apprentice's muzzle before they closed in contemplation. 'Can you even fight if you're not true to yourself?' It was cliche, in the heat of battle, morality did not triumph over adrenaline and fury.

Yet, in a moment of tranquility, he could not help but think that Blazingpaw would be a better SkyClanner for this, someone who could be proud of herself and her clan far easier then when he didn't know this about himself. A ghost of a smile slipped upon his muzzle before he politely dipped his head and let the expression vanish. "Congratulations." Fireflypaw had said it far more succinctly than he ever could, awkwardly, shuffled back to let others talk to the apprentice.

To Figfeather, this was normal. She's known many cats in her life, herself among them, who've not identified completely or at all with their given identity at birth. Cats like them could be seen all across the clans, Figfeather has never heard of someone being rejected nor scrutinized for choosing to identify differently.

It is clear the same will be for Blazingpaw as she announces to the clan he is not just a Tom. Silversmoke and Fireflypaw swiftly voice their support. Figfeather catches the gaze of the apprentice momentarily and gives her a supportive nod.

When she had spotted Blazingpaw sat all alone in the clearing of the camp, Howlfire had watched him with a concerned glance. Much like herself, Blazingpaw had quite a bold personality at times, so it worried her to see him looking downtrodden. She assumes part of it is because of Wolfpaw. Was Blazingpaw missing them and aware of the emptiness in his life now one of his littermates was gone?

When Blazingpaw does address the camp, Howlfire comes over quickly, listening attentively to what her child has to say. Blazingpaw announces that he no longer sees himself as just a tom and would like to be called he and she. Many of their clanmates are quick to voice their support and Howlfire herself comes over to touch her nose to Blazingpaw's head. "I'm proud of you, Blazingpaw. This was a brave decision to come to," Howlfire beamed down at her. "Your papa and I love and support you very much."

"So does that make you my sister as well as my brother?" Hawkpaw purrs, bumping scarred shoulder against that of his littermate as Howlfire pulls away. She'd been weirdly quiet as of late: now, with a pawful of stammered words, suddenly it made sense as to why!

The torbie is a little hurt that Blazingpaw hadn't told him first, but not in any real lasting way (maybe Hawkpaw just didn't remember it, honestly, but he'd surely remember something like this); more than anything, he's thrilled for his sibling. It looks like a weight has toppled from ginger shoulders at the announcement. Blazingpaw, in all her glory over the announcement, looks freer than Hawkpaw has seen him in moons.

From over from where he was settled on his side, he spotted Blazingpaw sat all alone in the clearing. Perking his ears up and towards the apprentice, he listened as Howlfire's kid announced her true identity as not just a tom. That's surprising. He, she, or neither, he doesn't really have a problem with that. He knows cats from around the Twolegplace, who've identified differently, completely, or not at all.

To Oddgleam, this was normal. "I have no problems here." He voices his support while shrugging his shoulders, with an easy-going smile on his face. He watches as his clanmates voice their own support. He glances at Blazingpaw, before going back to what he was doing. Cleaning his pelt... Ugh Dreadful.

The concept of coming out has never really made much sense to Sillypaw. For as long as vi can remember, vi has simply done whatever vi wanted, correcting others based on whatever vi might've liked to be called at the moment, and others eventually caught on and began using any pronouns they could think of for vir. Vi never came out, as such, and doesn't quite get the reason Blazingpaw is announcing her desire to be called he and she interchangeably. Why wouldn't he just correct others in the moment? To each their own, vi supposes, even if vi doesn't quite get it. Congratulating the other apprentice seems to be the thing others are doing now, so without any fanfare, vi simply states toward her with a faint smile, "Congratulations."

Eyes of blue are drawn from the ordinary happenings of SkyClan's bustling camp to that of their kin, Blazingpaw. Lionkit has really only spoken with him in passing; he can not say that he's as close with his sister's children as he is with his siblings, but he still acknowledges them as his own blood. Admittedly, he had always been a smidge envious of Blazingpaw's name — he directly honored Blazestar by carrying it.

What the older apprentice announces takes a moment to register in the youth's head, though it eventually clicks. Lionkit's heart flutters excitedly in their chest when they realize that their kin has made a similar revelation to what they had made for themselves moons ago. Warmth invades their heart when the chorus of comments from their supportive clanmates rings out. "That sounds good, Blazingpaw." The torbie point chirps toward her with a wave of his tail, albeit a tad sheepishly though he felt compelled to voice his support nonetheless.

*+:。.。 Tawnyclaw, throughout his still-short life, has gone through so many phases it stopped being funny.

A girl who wanted to be a perfect daughter. A boy who thought being masculine meant fitting into specific boxes. An idiot who stopped caring about anything besides living life as joyfully as possible, flowers in his fur and a twinkle in his eye.

Now... he was Tawnyclaw. He couldn't tell you what phase of life he was in now - did cats ever stop having phases? Either way, he wasn't sure about a lot of things when it came to looking at himself in a reflected puddle...but he did know that he'd always been a tom. It was a great feeling to know that. In these turbulent storms of growth and understanding, of doubt and misery, at least he could confidently tell you one thing was always certain.

And so forgive him for being a little excited seeing another knobby-kneed tyke realize their own little bit about themself.

"Ha-HAH!" an uproarious laugh followed by a firm slap on Blazingpaw's back. "Welcome to the club, buddy! Might not be the exact same club but, welcome anyway!" he snickered, grinning from ear to ear at the fiery red kid beside him. "Nice t'meet the true you, Blazingpaw." He wondered, briefly, what it was like to be genderfluid. Personally, Tawnyclaw wasn't comfortable with the idea of ever hearing someone call him a 'she-cat', but that was just that: Tawnyclaw's personal story. Perhaps one day Blazingpaw would be open to talking with Tawnyclaw about her experience, but for now, all that mattered was - celebration!

"Wouldn't it be great if we did something to celebrate?" Perhaps by this point, he might be embarrassing the kid, but now Tawnyclaw was cooking, "What if, now hear me out, we spend a whole day with no chores or patrols, hm?"

Any chance he could get to avoid work...What? Doesn't hurt for a dude to try, right?
