☆ it seems that the wishes of the parents-to-be have manifested in the pelt of their daughter. honeykit's wavy pelt is of thick black stripes on an oaken base, splattered by dappled patches of ginger. very cute white paws, a feathery tail, and a star marking on her head; a blessing, surely, of a brighter future for shadowclan. the only hint of her sire is in her left eye, river-ice where her right is sunlit. she is skinny for her age due to shadowclan's leafbare (though possibly not, fortune depending), and her stature remains small well into adulthood.

PERSONALITY
☆ honeykit is, at first, a simple creature. urged by her parents' hopes for the future but unsure of herself because of their careful guidance. a lover at heart. persevering, sisterly, warm. a chronic overworker; if she is working herself to the bone to help others, is it not a moral failing to ask for help herself?

✧ at first glance one may think they have seen a ghost of the past, a haunting specter who shares the same blood as flintwish. with her pale face and lanky figure, mercy resembles their aunt, ghostmask, in near mirror image. inky black paints itself upon the upper half of mercy's lithe body, covering her front legs, chest, and head… save for the purest white that encapsulates her gentle rounded face. large, tufted, slightly rounded ears draw plenty of attention to their countenance should the stark contrast fail to do so. situated amidst the ivory visage are a pair of vibrant mismatched eyes - the very same her dam and sire possess. rich amber encircles her left iris while glacial blue encircles the right iris. the lower half of her body is that same unblemished white as their face, covering her middle, hips, hind legs, and most of her tail. the point of meeting at her midsection, unlike the scalloped pattern of their aunt, is speckled and swirled as if the two hues collided. their fur shares the same wavy laperm fur of their sire, soft and feathery. her bottlebrush tail ends in a tuft of black fur, helping to differentiate her from her ghostly relative. mercy has a relatively small frame, wedge shaped head, and proportional tail, though their legs and body are on the lengthier side which causes her to look a bit awkward during childhood and adolescence.

━ TBDKit is a prank loving, chaotically neutral molly with a head full of snarks. She is self assured, and loving to those she calls friends but only protective of those she calls family. She sees the world as a adventure, and she's sure she has the map.

TBDKit hardly ever seems to take anything seriously and has a morbid love of ghost stories and other dead things.. Starting as a kit and continuing to adulthood, she is interested in dead things, wanting to understand what makes them 'alive' and what makes them 'dead'. She seems to enjoy sneaking into the medicine cat den and asking the most annoying questions she can think of. She hardly, if ever, steps up to the position of delegator without reason, a shame because her silver tongue could really be of help if she did.

TBDKit is a cat motivated by her need to understand the world and others around her - and control it where she can for the betterment of her siblings and family. She will gradually come to understand lying and trickery in late kithood, but will become interested in medicine later on.

While she is confident and seems like she does not care what others think of her, TBDkit is very aware of how psychically weak she is. What starts as 'being a late bloomer' will spiral into consent shaking paws, weak limbs, and the propensity to dislocate limbs seemingly on a whim. Seemingly held together by strings, TBDkit will develop hypermobility, which can be helped with exercise and muscle growth but this won't make the issue go away.

    Wreathed in soft curls and adorned with a thick, plush coat quickly prone to tangling, Marshkit comes across as more of a ball of fluff than anything else, though hidden beneath her draping pelt is the beginnings of a more lanky figure. While her silhouette will always appear slightly bulky, the truth is she inherited not only a swirling texture from Cicadaflight, but a tall, lanky frame as well, one that will not be fully realized until adulthood. Composed of varying shades of grays, she seems almost a mixture between Flintwish and Ashenfall, down to the soft swaths of pale fur that adorn her undersides and frame her paws. The contrast of lights and darks splashed across her face only serve to accentuate her bright amber gaze, perhaps her most striking feature of all. Whether narrowed in concentration or widened with excitement, those twin embers serve as a gateway to her own inner fire. Cloaked in shades of gray as she is and bearing such an intense gaze at times, Marshkit is almost reminiscent of Smogstar, though the resemblance is only partial as it is initially striking. As she grows closer to apprenticed-aged, so too will her limbs grow, lengthening into something lanky and spindly, and with curls sticking wildly about Marshkit will certainly be a sight to behold.
    — When unfocused/thinking, often carries an intense, almost stormy gaze - sometimes unintentionally directed at clanmates
    — Generally pretty messy looking - especially when she's younger, Marshkit won't make much of an effort to try to tame her curly fur & generally will be uncaring/unrealizing of looking disheveled

  • MENTALITY —
    Protective, distracted, passionate, loving, spontaneous, prideful
    Like a lit flame, Marshkit carries with her a certain, undeniable warmth, clear passion spilling over into her every action. Almost overbearing and overwhelming at times, she is unabashedly herself, and cuts something of an imposing figure when it comes to interactions. Brings her enthusiasm to everything that she does, from the smallest of tasks to the noblest of deeds. Considering her fervent nature, one might imagine her to carry a constant sort of boisterousness, and though it is true that she has quite the voice, Marshkit (sometimes) knows when to use it; at times, it's almost as if she melts into the shadows, lost in her own thoughts. Of course, the molly can't quite always read the room, and as such she may flicker from booming to soft, intense to unfocused, almost as if on a whim. Her attention is something easily given and easily taken away, though not necessarily out of any sort of malice - rather, it's easy for her to trip over her own musings and her overactive imagination. Constantly plagued with notions of serving as a great protector to her family, her daydreams can sometimes manifest more negatively than she means them too, coming off as overly coddling and perhaps even self-righteous. Not that she would outright admit that, of course - Marshkit may agree that she's a little much at times, but confident in herself as she is you're unlikely to receive an admittance that she's ever entirely in the wrong.
    — Very openly affectionate and loose with her endearment - if you mean something special to her, she will make sure that you are reminded of it

    Development ideas (all subject to IC change ofc):
    — PUT YOUR HANDS INTO THE FIRE: With her natural protectiveness and borderline possessiveness, Marshpaw will instinctively gravitate towards battle training, believing physical strength the solution to keeping her loved ones safe. Training relentlessly during the beginning of her apprenticeship, her goal is to be prepared to face down any enemy - and, at the pace she's moving, Marshpaw will believe that she is ready to face an opponent head-on. Whether it's something spur of the moment, like a border patrol gone south, or a more planned attack, she will remain confident in her abilities even as she takes on more than she can handle. In this, Marshpaw will realize just how different a real fight with real stakes is from training, which may rattle her confidence temporarily.
    ↳ May be hypocritical about this at first, under the assumption that she's skilled enough to take on any battle, perhaps influenced by a misplaced sense of confidence in that nothing bad has happened yet, so by that standard nothing bad will ever happen; this attitude may be called into question by others close to her, but it won't truly be curbed until she tastes defeat
    — I HEAR SOMETHING CALLING ME: Due to a stroke of luck and a case of right place, right time, Marshpaw makes her first catch earlier than most, resulting in a bit of an inflated head with regard to her own skills that will likely also feed into her already-growing ego when it comes to combat. Coasting on that high, it might take longer than usual for her to realize that whatever aided her in that first catch was fleeting, and that she hasn't managed to bring anything else home since her initial blessing. May become jealous of her peers that more naturally take to hunting.
    — YOU ARE REALLY LOVED: I'd love to explore with her the idea that protection doesn't necessarily mean she has to physically fight for her family and friends and that it can also come from other places. Maybe she's always there to lend a paw and offer a kind word, maybe she makes an extra effort to bring enough home to fill the fresh-kill pile - just because her claws are sheathed doesn't mean Marshpaw can't still take an active role in keeping her loved ones safe in other ways.
    — IF THERE'S A CAUSE FOR EVERY WINDOW: If Marshkit does begin to develop vitiligo, I imagine that she probably won't be the one to notice - rather, somebody else will have to point it out for her. Once she's aware of it, off to Starlingheart and Marblepaw she will immediately go, though her dramatics would be nothing in comparison to her reaction if Promisekit were to develop mysterious streaks of white. Any indication of illness or pain (slight as it may be) from her littermate will warrant an immediate visit to the medicine cats' den or at least a check-in with Starlingheart, and though she may not understand it, vitiligo would certainly pique her concern. May be enabling in Promisekit's complaints of nonexistent pains by virtue of encouraging him to visit Starlingheart if he feels anything at all is wrong, feeling as if it is her duty to play whatever part she can in keeping him safe and healthy.
