camp bottle rocket 𓆟 speculation

⋆ 。° ✩ He's gathered a little pile of oddities, all the nasty things that have been floating through the river. Cricketpaw hates to sully his paws by even touching the things, yet curiosity burns too bright to resist. As much as she detests the twolegs, as much as they disgust her, the least she can do for her clan is try to understand. That is the first step, after all, to getting rid of them. It is always good to know your enemy.

Cricketpaw's nose wrinkles, head turned up as she gazes down at the pile. She paws through listlessly. "I just don't understand - what is the point of all of it?" His head tilts, thinking. "Similarities, similarities... Hm, they're colorful? Sharp, lots of them, and... hard. Some of them at least, but not all... What else, what else... Are there even any connections?" Their mutterings are frantic, words drawing their paws to movement. She paces around the perimeter of the pile, as if a better angle will help her to understand. It is a good way to occupy her mind. It is always better to keep her mind occupied, these days. "It's - hm, I mean it's - it is fascinating, in a way, but... I don't think I will ever understand twolegs. Leaving all this useless garbage everywhere... Worse than crowfood, it's not even rotting. And not to mention the dilemma of how to get rid of it --" Speaking to herself alone, the words bubble out. An exorcism of pointless thoughts, nowhere closer to understanding than when she pulled the strange things from the river.

A different perspective. Yes, that's what she needs, it must be. Her head jerks up suddenly, landing on another cat skirting the riverbank. "Ah, you. Come here." A beckon of her tail, and she's back to looking at the objects. He stills for a moment, then pushes one forward. A colorful, leaflike thing hat crinkles when he presses upon it. Paw-sized, and utterly pointless. "What do you think this could be for? Any ideas?" She doubts they'll know, but maybe another's thoughts will help him to craft some fresh theories.

"Trash." Deadpan timbre, Dawnstorm observed the crinkly plastic with a perplexed expression, brows creased in contemplation. He figured that wasn't what Cricketpaw wanted, unfortunately, blunt and never quite understanding social talk, Dawnstorm was stupidly intelligent. He hummed, leaning forward, bi-colored hues squinting at the colorful, leaf-like object, tongue peeking out between dark-hued lips.

It'd become a surprise, paws barely touching the water, Dawnstorm wasn't new to the complicated emotions that came when he was within reach of the water. In times like these, the chimera ignored them and carried on with his day despite frequenting the shore to determine the next batch of emotions that confused him. Oh. He hummed, pulling away with a thoughtful murmur, features dulling, Dawnstorm shrugged. "Covering?" He offered like the warrior's den, woven from reeds to create stability against the harsher seasons, paws animated as he spread them out to place over a nearby rock. "Maybe?" He uttered owlishly, confused.

"What do you think?" He added, prodding the apprentice with a curious tilt, tail flickering with a swerve of his ears.

"FATE IS A SUNDRESS" ˚୭ .ೃ⁀➷ tags ── DIZZYPAW'S ATTENTION IS caught as Cricketpaw and Dawnstorm's voices touch her ears. They're curiously hunched over some sort of object - what, she can't quite make out from her vantage point. Curious as only an apprentice can be does she shuffle over, tail curling high over her back.

A sort of puzzle becomes apparent as Dizzypaw pokes her nose into the equation. What is this object? It is clearly of some contempt to Cricketpaw, and of Twoleg trash besides. Silver nose scrunches at the thought, and her head shakes as though to dismiss it. Twolegs are curious creatures that RiverClan cats have been forced to share the namesake river with, but their presence has clearly done much more harm than any possible good could surmount to. It is frustrating and disappointing besides; where a group of cats works to clean up one thing, it feels as though twice as much is thrown into the river. Do they know how this harms their livelihood?

If they know, they likely don't care. Dizzypaw gives a little cough to clear her throat as she sits amidst the other two. Silver feather tail sweeps over white-whipped paws; hazel eyes blink curiously, and she nods at Dawnstorm's assumption. "I once found something... ah, maybe similar?" Dizzypaw's voice falters as she considers for a moment. She only wants to be helpful, but she frets that she may misconstrue. "Like some sort of... container, in which to hold another item." The terminology is lost on her - how is she supposed to make sense of Twoleg mannerism? "I could be wrong... so please don't take my word."

Fogshore was passing by the little group, he was on his way back from a carefree swim. The chimera warrior glances over as Cricketpaw and Dawnstorm's voices touched his ears. He was intrigued by what they were doing, observing how they were hunched over some sort of strange object. What are they doing..? He quietly shuffled over, eventually standing next to Dizzypaw with an ear flick.

The feathered tom tilted his head in confusion at the object, he was staring at. It was clearly a weird Twoleg trash, he examines the crumpled plastic with a confused expression on the blank face he usually carries. He looks over at Dawnstorm as the other warrior leans forward to examine in his own way. Odd-colored eyes blink at the other chimera at his answer. Covering? Fogshore plops himself onto his haunches, curling his plumed tail around pale paws. "A covering but for what? I wonder.." He takes a forepaw and pokes at the leaf-colored object.

Fogshore looks over at Dizzypaw, as the apprentice speaks in her own input on a similar Twoleg item. "Hm, A container? Sounds interesting." He doesn't know much about Twoleg terminology himself, only a few. But a container that holds another item? Now, that sounds interesting indeed.

While there are many things Frecklrpaw hates about the twolegs, this might not be one of them. The crinkly sharp-thing is interesting in a way the rest of the filth isnt - eyes wide as she slowly creeps her way over to join the others. " Smells... sweet, " comes quiet murmur- though really, she has little to offer in the way of conversation. Trash, a cover, a container - strange words for a strange item. " is it... safe?" she hopes so, with howcricketpaw plays with it, with how its made its way into their camp.

Graykit is not an idiot. At least, he doesn't think himself to be (who ever did?) He learns from his mistakes and from the mistakes of others. Pinekit had gotten hurt pawing through the trash that floated up on their shores so lesson learned, don't go pawing through the trash. Cricketpaw is a cat much older than himself, one who is ancient by his standards, but they did not seem to know this because here they were... doing it anyways.

He watches with his tail curled around his paws, expecting at any moment for someone to cry out in pain but is surprised when instead the apprentice holds up something brightly colored and beckons others over for inspection. He finds his own feet moving, though not of his own volition. Kit-like curiosity overrides his fear of the unknown and brings him closer so that he could look at it too. "It smells like twoleg" he observes, countering Frecklepaw and wrinkling his nose in the same way he's seen the adults do whenever they smelled something similar.

GRAYKIT RIVERCLAN KITTEN ; HE / HIM
LILYBLOOM X LAKEMOON BROTHER TO SNOWKIT
A plush coated kitten with a pelt marbled in varying shades of gray and white. He has dull green eyes and a tall stature. Most of his personality can be described as carefree though some also say that unmotivated is a more than apt term. His trust and love is easily won through praise but he will do little work to receive it.
easy in battle + no formal training

Trash and the like seem to be one of Splashpaw's unfortunate specialties. While many native RiverClanners struggle to combat the new, twoleg presence in their homeland, Splashpaw seems partially unbothered by it. She, of course, would not bother with the upwalkers by any means - too many cats have been stolen. It's too risky, and even her own flutterbrain wouldn't test her limits. That said, their miscellaneous trinkets seem to become all the curious rage - yet the she-cat is unsure if her perspective would be welcome.

"Y'can chew it," she hums, skirting the group for a moment. She tries to find someone she's a bit more comfortable with, however upon finding no immediately friendly soul, she decides to create one and settles in next to Frecklepaw. "It makes a fun crrrkrr kinda noise," Splashpaw tries to enthuse, tail twitching.

✧ . New oddities find theirselves at RiverClan's coast more often than not, as of late. Often akin to rocks and fish scales in their shimmer and shine, Gillsight knows their nothing but, knows the twolegs that have patrolled the outskirts of their home have bestowed these hardly-trinkets upon them.

Though he can't lie — their presence is a curious one to him, as well. The former rock-collector can't help but slow his stride as he comes across the equally inquisitive group, all huddled around a leaf-think fleck of shimmering shine. Uncertain eyes lead him forward, mouth pulled tight in contemplation.

Trash, a covering, a container. Those around him contemplate its purpose. It's a twoleg object all the same.

" N-Nothing a twoleg touches is safe, " Gillsight informs Frecklepaw at her question, though Splashpaw offers otherwise in their own knowledge — to chew it. Sunlit eyes dart to the newcomer, an uncertain frown cast upon his maw. A fun sound, the bright-eyed warrior offers forward. " B-Best not to try. " It's too much of a risk, setting one's teeth on the crinkle of a twoleg's trash.
