——————————————【 Kitten | 7 Moons | Rogue 】—————————————
【⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆】Fangs crouched low in the hard, scentless nest he had been shut in. Their ears were filled with the deep rumbling growl of the monster and the strange calls of TwoLegs. Every now and then a flash of sunlight would hit them causing an involuntary flinch, but the young kitten did their best to keep still and in control. Fangs had long since lost track of time within the strange insides of the monster, but it had been long since they had been caught. With a barely suppressed shudder they again cursed themselves for letting their weakness, their hunger, lead them to such an obvious trap. Now and then one of the TwoLegs would shove their strange spindly paws through the cracks in the nest towards them and though the temptation to claw and spit and bite was great, the young cat remained still. It was out of strength they told themselves, because it couldn't be fear. It couldn't be weakness.
Finally the monsters incessant growling began to quieten, the TwoLegs beginning to fuss and move about. There was a bump that nearly knocked Fangs to their belly and then the growling stopped altogether. With clatter and thumps the TwoLegs began to leave the monsters guts, one picking up the kittens hard nest with them. Sunlight graced Fangs red gaze and they reflexively let out a pitiful mew. And hated themself for it. Their heart thudded in their chest as they swayed in that nest, the TwoLeg carrying them towards the yawning mouth of the gigantic den they call their homes. Suddenly - a commotion. The creature carrying Fangs nest stumbled and fell, their unwanted home plumetting to the ground with it. The kit cried in pain as they were bounced about with the hard impact of the nest, as they were spilled onto the incredibly hard rocky ground. But Fangs was ever the swift one, and they scrambled to their paws. The situation was overwhelming - the harsh cries of TwoLegs, the sizzling gaze of the sun, the blindingly bright light, the burning heat on their paws. The only thing to do was flee, and flee they did. Through the pain and the glare the white kitten sprinted through the shadows of TwoLegs and monsters, heading for the darkest place they could see - the massive pine trees that loomed over all.
Just as they thought their frail body couldn't run any further Fangs finally made it to the safety of the forest. It was as if they'd entered a cave, where mere moments ago was chaos and fire now there was quiet and shade. The kitten slowly stumbled to a limping walk, in all the pandemonium never noticing the scent border they had long since crossed. They merely limped slowly along the needle-strewn forest floor until they found themselves by a gentle, quietly babbling river. There, their energy finally gave out. Fangs collapsed to their belly, their reddish-blue eyes shut from the light that even here in the depths of the forest was painful, their skin burning beneath their fur, their paws on fire, and their heart still hammering. But at least they were free.
