RiverClan's turn, she listens half-heartedly. Then ThunderClan speaks, Sootstar can be seen staring off in the distance, only picking up on any sentences she deemed intriguing enough. All of the clan's reported they were doing fine, great even, how reassuring! The information she's learned at this gathering certainly took some weight off her shoulders, not. Most of this was terrible news to her.

Ember went quiet, was she done? Hopefully... thank the stars. Sootstar just wanted to get home at this rate.
She rises onto short limbs, "If that is all, WindClan will be leaving." she doesn't await permission, she leaps down onto the rock. "...Until next time... WindClan, with me!" The leader pads over to the shrubs, expecting her clan-mates to swiftly follow suite behind her.

Blazestar smiles at Emberstar's enthusiasm, at her idea of attaching a -paw suffix to young cats needing training to become warriors. Along with Sootstar naming her kits with -kit at the end and Cicadastar's inclusion of warrior names, the Ragdoll thinks he'll be taking some of these ideas home with him to SkyClan. They likely won't be impressed if he adopts their naming trends, but he thinks it might help assimilate their less conventional Clan with the others in the forest -- at least in some ways.

He isn't sure, though, about Briarstar's announcement. Borders, and a heavy threat that comes with her inclusion of them. ShadowClan territory is to be blocked off to outsiders. He gives both Sootstar and Cicadastar a wide-eyed look, though he knows it will be ignored. He imagines the former marsh cats will be following the suit.

The question, then, would be...

He watches Sootstar announce she is leaving, quickly shuffling off of the rock and calling her Clanmates to her. He waits until she is gone before he turns to Emberstar. "Borders... if the other Clans are doing them, then SkyClan will begin scent marking as well, for our protection. But ThunderClan will not be our enemy, I assure you." He brushes his thick, silken tail against the younger, smaller leader's side. "We share more than territory."

He doesn't glance Briarstar or Cicadastar's way. They've made it quite clear that they don't consider him one of them. He simply pads to the edge of the rock and follows Sootstar's lead. "SkyClan, we'll be going home too." With a powerful, extravagant leap, the massive pale tom finds footing upon the earth and makes his way toward the pine forest.

− ♱ ABOUT : emberstar is the next to speak, and the name cinderfrost visibly catches his attention. he'd heard that salamander was medicine cat of thunderclan . . his brow furrows, the half - hearted concern he'd had for the molly since her wild ramblings after the battle flaring once more to the forefront of his mind. she'd left in a huff, after laying the deaths of youth on paws still trembling with the trauma of war − she'd been unwell, the last he'd seen her, skulking off into the marshes without a look back. without explanation. he'd assumed her dead until word traveled of her newfound place in thunderclan. a loss he'd mourned along with countless others, both slain on the battlefield and not. bone herself had not gone unpunished, though his aggravation at her had waned shortly after the incident . . just as it would have for salamander, had he not already grieved her loss. his claws click once more at the flat stone, ear twitching at the mention of apprentices and -paws. it was a good idea, he would admit. riverclan's youth did need a little more discipline, he would admit − though he could never pretend to hate their spirits. it would be a welcome change, should he implement it when he returned . .

just like that, the gathering begins to draw to a close. sootstar leaps from her place, seeming all for the world only interested in boasting windclan's growth before taking her exit. he watches her leave, followed shortly by the looming flame point just aside emberstar. the man stands, stretches − his spine popping comfortably before rising to full height, moonlight bleaching his mottled form as he pads closer to the former kittypet. with her larger companion gone, his stomach doesn't twist as horribly with nausea upon approach. is lip twitches, but he morphs it into a sugarcoated smile, pale luminaries warm, " if you have a moment, frau emberstar, i would love to have a chat. " ciadastar speaks, hoping it sounded more like a friendly talk than the questioning it would surely end up being. he draws a quick tongue over a snowy paw, swiping it over his ear in hopes to seem less intimidating, " riverclan will remain for a only bit longer, as i . . need to talk to someone. come find me, yes? " he didn't want to have this conversation atop the high rock, where his coat burns with countless gazes from below.

with one last polite smile towards emberstar and briarstar both, the man would bunch his muscles and leap from the stone, landing delicately on ivory paws where the sea of cats had split for his descention. giving his newly dried, curling coat a quick shake, the man would set off into the crowd − with hope, the shadowclan medicine cat would be here somewhere.

"WE ARE THE BROKEN ONES, WHO CHOSE TO SPARK A FLAME"
Hardly had Emberstar finished speaking, when the Windclan leader was taking her leave. She turned toward the announcement with a blink. It was so sudden! They had each only had a moment to speak, and already one of the clans was leaving. In her mind, there was supposed to be more to a gathering than that. She wanted to believe there was a good reason for this. Perhaps Sootstar was just a busy molly, she rationalized, she of all cats knew running a clan was tough buisiness.

Blazestar turned to her, telling her his clan too would be implementing borders. She frowned, if all the clans around her did so then...

A thought for later.

For now, she returned the other leader's affectionate gesture with a warm nod. "Don't be a stranger!" she told him cheerfully, attempting to conceal her worry. Emberstar watched as he too led his clan away. That was it then, she supposed. A lot had happened, for sure, but she couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. She had hoped to have more time to just chat. Get to know the other leaders, make sure they were all on good terms. Instead it had all been over the minute they finished making their announcements.

She blinked as an unexpected sight approached her. The Riverclan leader, smiling softly. Asking for a more private audience. She burst into an eager smile. This was exactly what she had been hoping for! Well, almost. She didn't know why their conversation needed to be private, but she didn't let that bother her. "Sure!" Emberstar affirmed, "Just give me a moment and I'll be right with you."
