Following the surprise of an early leaf-bare, RiverClan has found themselves in a downward spiral of bad luck... before the first frost had even become a threat, displacement from flooding began the descent. Though the camp did not remain a proverbial pool for nearly as long as the last time it flooded, their return was soon marked by a fire on the horizon from stray lightning striking the Twoleg Campsite. Though it never travelled close enough to harm the clan physically in the form of burns and flickering flames, the smoke wafted across the territory and with it, scared off what little prey remained within reach of their drypaw population. With the rivers waning in what they could provide, tensions grow between clanmates..
The war of Sunningrocks provides a reprieve.. and a hope for their circumstances to change.
Try as they might to make up the deficit in their prey stocks, RiverClan cannot compensate enough to prepare for the rapidly approaching winter... and though many are willing to chalk it up to fate, there are some still grumbling that there's dead weight to account for...

This event will run for the remainder of December, until the end of January of 2025! This may change based on activity or request!
Participation will make participants eligible for a badge at a later date- this is one piece of a larger over-arching plot that includes the Sunningrocks battle!

The name of the game is to bond, interact and explore the tensions within the clan. This event is not meant to explore much with regard to other clans, though you can include them in your prompt expeditions!
There is no requirement to suffer injury, risk sickness, or starve during this event, such flavor text is optional at your discretion!
To qualify for the badge, you must respond to THREE event prompts. You do NOT have to make any of these threads yourself!
As you can see, the prompts are set into three groups. The conclusion to the over-arching plot will be influenced by the clan's overall disposition! Harmony (clan unity, seeking to understand differences, pro-drypaw), nebulous karma (indifference, choosing to be a bystander), and Discord (dissonance, isolation, anti-drypaw).
The fun of nebulous karma prompts is that the responses will ultimately determine which way that thread counts and are subject to interpretation... be careful which way it swings.
The scale will tip based on which threads are created and how many responses they get! You'll see it updated semi-regularly to have full understanding of where the clan stands at a given moment.

Harmony Prompts
- The snow is leaving mounds of slush in camp on warm days. Does your character join in the fun of playing in it?
- Chunks of ice from up the river float into camp, and kits are pawing them around in a new game!
- The snow is powdery! Every kick of a paw sends a flurry into the air. How is your character fairing?
- Someone's caught a snowflake! Quick, show it off before it melts!
- You notice a clan-mate feeling down after missing a catch.. how do you lift their spirits?
Nebulous Karma Prompts
- Your character has been instructed to do something by one of the new lead warriors. How do they react?
- The river rapids, normally a dangerous feat to swim in, seem slower with the chill. A bet starts to see who can last the longest now that it seems feasible. Where does your character stand?
- Oh no! A predator has come crashing through the snow during your morning patrol. Who does your character team up with to fend it off?
- Someone's brought home a particular piece of prey - it's frozen in a chunk of ice. How do they get it out?
- The last piece of bedding material is being grabbed by another clan-mate... How do you respond?
Discord Prompts
- A drypaw brings home nothing from their hunt, as most of the land prey has gone into hibernation. How does your character respond?
- It begins to snow and some of the apprentices begin to complain about the chill in their pelts. Will your character be the one to set them straight?
- The warriors are bickering in their den. Some are saying that the cats more favorable of the water should sleep closer to the edge, where the snow starts to seep in. Where is your character in this?
- What use are the drypaws with Sunningrocks? They hardly even cross the river to get there. Your character encounters this very argument, and is forced to mediate the discussion. Do they?
- When faced with hunger for the first time, your character looks for someone to blame... Who do they target? Who should bare the burden of responsibility?
