☁ //Battling: open again!
The youth evades a dip in the river and even catches him out before he could react to the next attack. Although he pulls backwards it is too slow to avoid a nasty slash over his left eye. He squeezes the eye closed as blood begins to trickle down his face, standing stark against his pale fur. Sharpeye was about to counter but Moonpaw was away, distracted by something else. He whipped his head around and was shocked to see Howlingstar's form looking lifeless upon the ground.
Ultimately he does not pursue Moonpaw, instead allowing her to run to her fallen leader and grandmother. Instead he finds himself staring with a growing haze in his mind. "Why did I even come here? Why do these rocks even warrant the spilling of so much blood? So much life?" Was it all really worth it?
The battle rages on however, now with a greater volatility fuelled by a lust for revenge and by the weight of grief. The logical side of his mind urged him to run, to abandon the fight for his own sake. But he found himself staying. Straightening himself up he then flexed his claws and glowered at the ThunderClanners around him. "ThunderClan! You are already paying a heavy price for your greed! Return home and abandon these rocks! Spare yourselves from smothering this place in further sin and blood! Whatever little prey remains here will be tainted!"
