LITTLE WOLF X BLAZESTAR​

THEIR STORY: Back when the forest was still divided into the pine group and the marsh group, two cats have a fateful meeting under a crescent moon. Little Wolf is a marsh cat and Blaise is a lost kittypet. They get to talking and, though they would not confess for several moons, they both immediately fall in love.

The Great Battle takes place. The pine group’s leader is killed, and someone has to step up to lead. Blaise is that someone. He becomes Blazestar, and Little Wolf and her family move to what would later become ThunderClan while Blazestar returns home to lead the newly named SkyClan. This would not mark the end of their moonlit meetings though.

Soon after confessing their love for one another, the couple discovers they are expecting kits! Their kits lead lives in both clans, SkyClan and ThunderClan, until one day when tragedy strikes.

Morningpaw, one of their children, is killed in a skirmish between the two clans, bringing about the first law in the warrior code: no cross-Clan relationships. The pair say their goodbyes at the gathering, two kits deciding to go to Sky with their father and two deciding to remain in Thunder with their mother. Shortly after they say their goodbyes, Little Wolf discovers she is once again pregnant…

— This kit was born in ThunderClan and they will not know who their father is; Little Wolf will only tell them vague stories of a brave, kind-hearted tom who is somewhere far away. She will tell them their father loves them but cannot be with them right now, as bad as he wishes he could. This could lead to a plot where the kit later finds out who their father is or was depending on when they find out. Neither Clan, nor Blazestar and Little Wolf’s older kits, will know for certain that Blazestar is the sire, as their mother will never confirm it.
— Points will be given to a kit with the Skypaw name! The Skypaw name has significance and has been referenced in canon, especially since this kit is assumed to be fathered by a cat other than Blazestar. Gender and appearance can be anything matching genetics.
— Birth date is February 22nd, 2023 with the kit aging on that same day every month. Kit is currently 6 moons old.

> skypaw is a prideful, yet quiet, tomcat. perhaps taking after his uncle raccoonstripe, he can come across as brash or combative when pushed enough. he finds himself a little more apathetic to the clan's more simple woes, yet overactive whenever thunderclan is called into action. a big part of him, especially since accepting apprenticeship, is proving himself to his clanmates - he can be told day and night that he has nothing to prove, however given the history of his immediate family and their direct relation to the code-laws, he feels the opposite. he can be perceived often as a model apprentice, taking on any task or drill with everything he has - though all the same, he can be seen a nuisance, too often trying to take over jobs from other apprentices when he feels they're not being done right.
regardless of his complexes, skypaw is known for being affectionate in a loose sense. whilst never one to properly say, 'i love you' to another cat, romantically or platonically, he is known for bringing prey to cats who've not eaten yet that day, or notifying berryheart whenever he notices someone acting a little off. his love language is often distanced due to this, however in his few short moons as an apprentice, it's come to be known as his normal.
given that skypaw has icly been in thunderclan for roughly six months, i imagine his personality more set in stone than other adopts - however all the same i strive for fluidity, especially once i have a better grasp of his interpersonal relationships and how he would be raised. i do intend to keep him on a stern, yet distant, pathway in terms of personality, however largely i am flexible with whatever comes along!

> upon naming, little wolf claims that his prefix is more in honor of fireflypaw and howlpaw's chosen home, rather than blazestar himself. growing up thus far, skypaw has not shown outward resentment due to this supposed condition - his mother raises him with compassion and love, and though he cannot be with his half siblings, he cannot forget they exist. that said, he often wishes he was given a name more in line with their thunderclan family, simply so he can avoid the assumption that often comes with his.
> he shows no interest in blazestar when in situations regarding him - such as border patrols or gatherings. he doesn't like the whisperings or gossip that can often surround his family and would prefer to keep everything to a minimum. might've spoken to blazestar once or twice, if his half siblings were involved, however is stunningly silent otherwise.
- > he has no active suspicion that blazestar is his true father. he finds it much easier to not worry about who the sire of his litter could be and can grow quite combative when confronted with the possibility that his mother broke a code-law.

  with long, silky fur inherited from his father, skypaw looks much bulkier than he is. he is tall and slender, but his thick pelt disguises his reedlike appearance. his fluffy fur grows thick between his pawpads and graces him with silent pawsteps even in the most wild underbrush. in winter, his long fur collects iceballs, and in the spring it collects mud. he tends to get twigs and seeds caught between his toes and in the thick fur around his neck and chest. he gets his good looks from her mother, and like little wolf he takes good care of his pelt.

  A curious and quick-witted child, Skypaw seems to be in a strange in-between stage of their development. They haven’t quite outgrown their kithood naïvety, but they have developed a penchant for placing themself above others. He idolizes many of his older family members for a variety of different reasons. Howlingstar, for the way that she looks down upon others even without good reason; she does her best to protect their family and their clan from the dangers that outsiders may pose. Raccoonstripe, for his ferocity in battle; he has killed cats before, and Skypaw hopes to be able to defend the clan in such a way when they are older. Their mother Little Wolf, for her wandering spirit; he wishes to see all of the world, not just ThunderClan, and the way that she goes fearlessly into the woods means she’s hard at work providing for the clan.
  
  In his young age, Skypaw has seen a lot of tragedy that he should not have. He has faced roadblocks seemingly at every turn, and has struggled to overcome them. The mystery of his father’s identity hangs over his head like an avalanche, leaving Skypaw anxiously awaiting the moment when it will finally come crashing down upon him. He’s not half-clan, he tells himself, because if he was, Little Wolf would have told him. But which ThunderClan tom is his father? And who else would Little Wolf engage with but Blazestar? Skypaw may be dumb, but he isn’t stupid. He can draw the conclusion himself, even without the whispers of clanmates that trailed behind him throughout his kithood and early apprenticeship.
  
  In the face of all of ThunderClan’s tragedy, Skypaw has maintained a somewhat rocky, unstable view of others. He is quick to trust others, and often offers forgiveness before others ask for it or even deserve it. He feels obligated not to hold grudges, because he thinks that every cat is, in the end, wanting to help others. He believes that no cat is truly bad or evil, and that cats make mistakes but do not inherently want to cause suffering. He sees death and injury all around him, betrayal at each turn, and yet he believes that such things could never happen to him. He’s bigger than all that. He’s better than all that. If someone loses a fight, then they should have just fought harder. Skypaw doesn’t yet understand the dangers of overconfidence.
  
  All of this adds up to Skypaw’s rather annoying presence within ThunderClan, still gallivanting around with all the energy of a kit at play (and none of the gentle innocence). Despite their almost-arrogance and generally irritating nature, however, Skypaw shows great promise as an apprentice. They are beginning to grow less energetic, and more reined in with their emotions. They try to consider the consequences of their actions before jumping into things, but sometimes their heart gets in the way of their head. Their mentor holds onto the hope that they will settle down… eventually.
