• THEIR STORY: This story is a happy one.
  
  Coyotecrest is born in WindClan, but his mother flees for a better life and joins SkyClan. Howlfire is born between clans, but in the wake of a tragedy places her loyalty solely in SkyClan. Though only a few weeks separate them, these two young cats grow up together in the clan among the pines. Although not initially close friends, a relationship blossoms in the wake of Howlfire's return from the eerie Shelter. Similarities in their pasts and helping to defend SkyClan from another raid by WindClan bonds them together. In each other they find compassion and understanding.
  
  As yellowcough begins to spread through the clans, the two realise how much they care for each other, vowing to remain fit and well. As time passes, Howlfire begins to fall ill and she fears she has caught yellowcough, but is stunned to discover she is expecting kits. Although happy, the announcement leaves Howlfire feeling uneasy, both in regards to their future health and where the relationship between her and Coyotecrest stands. Regardless of what happens, both parents vow to keep their children safe, providing them with the love and stability that was often times missing from their own youth.

LH LILAC-CREAM TORBIE WITH HAZEL EYES (c. solid, point)

With the exception of her fur's colours, Hawkkit is a grab bag of her parents' traits. From Howlfire (and by extension, Blazestar) she's inherited a ragdoll mix's slight height advantage, with a long and sturdy frame to grow into and soft, thick fur to boot. She's also inherited Howlfire's distinctive hazel eyes, green ringed with a chestnut brown around the pupil. Though her pelt is a much paler shade, her markings are somewhat similar to Howlfire's as well. Much like Coyotecrest however, her pelt is thickest around her neck, chest and tail, spiky and forming a distinctive silhouette. Her features are angular and her eyes are round.

Tilts her head when curious, expressive with ears and tail. Curious, restless paws. Sneezes in direct sunlight. Doesn't intentionally accessorise, but finds herself with leaves in her fur quite often after she starts climbing.

Rambunctious, stubborn, loving, spontaneous. If you need a kitten underpaw in a camp thread she's your girl. Full throttle approx. 90% of the time. Curious to the point of nosiness, asker of a billion why questions. Rough and tumble, often chewing on her siblings' ears but never drawing blood. Enjoyer of accessories! As she gets older and more exposed to the horrors of clan life she'll mature a bit and become more sombre, but she'll very likely retain her fiery optimism and friendliness. Very likely to advocate for kittypets. Quite maternal despite not being the eldest of the litter, though on the inside desperately wants to be helped as much as she tries to help others. Adept at making friends.

I am an enjoyer of plot-reactive characters and therefore the majority of her adult personality will be dependant on the IC environment of SkyClan.

PLOT IDEAS

• I intend for this character to live a long and healthy life.
• Potentially a daylight warrior mentor, or someone who has a friendliness towards outsiders. Gives her a paw in each world, so to speak. I want her to be a staunch believer in the "SkyClan is strong because we accept all walks of life" philosophy.
• Will be an absolute trainwreck of a hunter. Very likely to fail her first warrior assessment for this reason, despite her impressive skill in the trees.
• Currently toying with the idea of her becoming a daylight warrior for a period of time. It'd probably be out of desperation during a particularly harsh winter and hoping that she can bring some twoleg prey to SkyClan to help feed others. This is spurred by the thought of I think she'd look cool with a collar.
• Likes hanging around the queens and elders to hear stories, has an unapologetic love for the epic tales of romance. Wants to find a love like Butterflytuft and Dandelionwish have someday.

⭒with her mottled mess of browns and creams, lynxkit is a child befitting the season she is born into. her fur shows like leaf litter under a dying sun, mishapen splotches and scratches of lost color colliding nonsensically throughout her pelt. one would see her shortly after birth and claim her to be the rowdy one, lost in puddles of mud or hiding in bramble thickets. but her parents see beyond her plush pelt; coyotecrest and howlfire see less of trouble begging to come true, and see more of the powerful creature their child is meant to be. a lynx, born into the body of a small, domestic kitten.
lynxkit, although her fur patterns neglect the ideal likeness to that of her namesake, boasts powerful, broad shoulders, as well as pawpads grander than her otherwise short and stout body. as she grows from a tottling kit to a loud and proud apprentice, her name will only prove truer, as her protective and leading nature will guide her to be one of the prizes of the litter.

⭒with paws too big for her body and a heart too grand to ignore, lynxkit struggles to think before she acts. it can be something as simple as making a promise that she cannot keep, or even acting on impulse - although she often means well, she just as often falls flat and struggles to apologize for any missteps she may commit. much of her self perception revolves around being strong and steady, smart and intuitive - and admitting to not being either of those is a show of weakness, something that she never wishes to be. lynxkit wishes to be a child her parents are proud of, at the end of the day.
⭒ personalities are hard to nail in a simple paragraph or two, especially with the added caveat that is roleplay. while i firmly intend to stick to what i have here, thus far, for lynxkit, i will also allow her parents, peers, and surrounding events to mold her as needed!

⭑ plots
⭒first born ; although not much is often staked in litter order, lynxkit puts all she can into the hierarchy of their litter. she's the oldest and to her, that means she's the protector. she must experience everything first to ensure its safety to her siblings - which, conversely, means that she becomes unnaturally upset when her siblings surpass her by any means.
⭒hubris ; from youth, lynxkit finds herself emboldened by not only her size, strength, and litter order - but by the extended family she can boast. with her grandfather as leader and several family members (most that she may even not know) stretching across the clans, lynxkit will feel largely untouchable. unfortunately apprenticeship will prove her wrong, and due to a skirmish in her youth she will gain an injury that will mark her continued path to warriorhood a difficult one.
⭒growth ; after her accident, lynxkit will suffer a stifling depression. all that she's known herself to be is shattered and she will struggle to find a sense of self worth. it will be up to her clanmates to help her break through the suffocating loss of self and relearn what it is to be herself again. in time she will regain her pride and self worth, however for a few months she may struggle.​

—--At first glance, it's as though you are seeing double - Coyotecrest, and his little shadow, both clad in cream-spotted fur, both bearing a sharp ruff of fur framing their features. Thick, pale fur adorns Snowkit, giving her a lofty and bulky appearance even without factoring in her heritage from Howlfire. Softening around her undersides and darkening along her broken stripes, altogether her hues give a rather uniform appearance, only deviating when it comes to her nose, pawpads, and eyes. Meeting Snowkit's gaze for the first time, it's clear she has her mother's eyes - brown and green meet to form hazel, and there's a quiet blaze of a determination in there, though perhaps a shade paler than Howlfire's own. More subtle than that inherited from her father, she also bears gifts from her mother - namely, a bulky frame passed down from her grandfather, though like Howlfire before her it seems that height is passed over in favor of a more stout shape. For now, she remains a more rounded image of Coyotecrest, kitten-fluff obscuring some of her more Ragdoll-esque traits, though once grown Snowkit will be a formidable sight indeed, representing a blend of traits between both Coyotecrest and Howlfire.

—--Sharp-eyed and sharp-minded, the world is something wonderous to be explored to Snowkit, and she can often be found in quiet contemplation, studying the environment around her and those within it. Though she may tolerate the company of others, it's much easier to enjoy herself when surrounded by silence, whether that be hiding away in the nursery or holing up in an abandoned corner of camp for the day to people watch. Even as a child, there is nothing she wants more than to one day be as brave and strong as her parents - and for Snowkit, it's not a question of if, but when. Wholly confident in her own burgeoning abilities, the only thing able to throw her off balance is falling short of her own self-imposed goals of success and what that should look like. Let it be known that Snowkit does not deal in half-measures, no matter what her quiet nature might suggest - when she sets her mind to something, she won't dare stop until her goals have been realized.

LONGHAIRED RED TABBY TOM W/GREEN EYES / REFERENCE
As a kitten, Blazingkit is born with a fiery pelt to match his name and has soft green eyes that mirror the woodland greenery/foliage that surrounds his home, a little ruff of fur/mane on the back of his neck, and feathered ears. He has a rather large and chubby build to him with a long coat of kitten fuzz that keeps him warm from the cold that threatens to nip at his skin, he has a soft button nose and two fangs that stick out from his upper jaws whenever his mouth is closed giving the appearance of a toothy grin to whoever meets him. He usually has a bright or curious expression whenever meeting new individuals regarding them with owl sized eyes.

Short little kitten limbs that will eventually extend as he ages into an apprentice, the ragdoll genetics from his mother and grandfather showing as he stands taller than most of the other Skyclan apprentices. He keeps his rather bulky kitten stature for the first moon or so before slowly fading with gradual training with his mentor and much later into late apprenticeship, he'll grow to be a little larger. Before finally reaching his warriorhood, he'll have a burly build with muscles rippling underneath a plush coat and sporting a bottlebrush tail. The ruff/mane near the back of his neck growing thicker and overlaying the lighter parts of his coat like a hood of sorts. His expression now changing to a more serious one to oftentimes coy, almost challenging to his clanmates (playfully) and those outside of Skyclan.

During his kitten days, Blazingkit's curious, naive, and with a yearning for adventurous that oftentimes leads to potential recklessness that will get him into trouble whenever he's out and about in camp. He'll be polite and try not to pry too much from his clanmates, several little questions buzzing in that overimaginative mind of his, and will always try to get other kittens or sometimes apprentices to play a game or two with him. If he fails, he will retreat to attempt riling up and roping his littermates to join his little troublesome sheninanigans mainly due to the fact that he's the type of cat to put and hold family close/first above everything else (can lead to potential conflict possibly due to family residing within Thunderclan, where he learns that he must put Skyclan first).

As an apprentice, he'll be an excitable apprentice that's very eager to learn everything and will do anything to make sure he exceeds it that will later on lead to him overworking himself in late apprenticeship. He becomes attentive, a little gusty, and determined throughout his apprenticeship and being a little overprotective of his littermates and denmates if they're ever on a border patrol with an enemy. He's the type to not try starting fights but if the other party is insistent, he might end up humouring them and trying to put them in their place (but could end up completely failing and it hurting his pride while doing so.) He has a fighting spirit and will likely excel at combat when he's much older and isn't as reckless/overconfident that his size will beat his enemies/opponents.

Finally as a fullgrown warrior, he will prove to be charismatic, quick witted, and rather hardheaded which can prove rather infuriating to those outside of Skyclan but he does not care. He inherits the fiery and hotheadedness of his mother so whenever he speaks to someone who thinks ill of him or his clanmates will recieve the burnt/bite of his words. To those out of Skyclan, he might be percieved as practical, blunt, and slightly monotonous unless he's challenging them then its with a curl of his lip to reveal pearly whites and oftentimes has zero tolerance for outsiders. He'll be proud of his family and clan regardless of the biting and venomous words oftentimes spat at them. With his clanmates, he chooses to be compassionate, attentive, and strong-minded willing to help them if they so need it.

• The main goal of his concept/character is that he'll be a respectable and more stoic character that will snap if any of his loved ones are in danger/threatened. He will be proud of his Skyclan blood but he'll oftentimes inwardly flinch whenever he is referred to as a kittypet and it'll be something that makes him angry/blunt rather quickly (will later be unbothered by it) and formidable opponent to his enemies
• He relies mostly on his strength/large build (due to the ragdoll genetics he inherited from his mother), element of surprise, and strategy those being his strong points. He'll be excellent at climbing but where he lacks the most is swiftness/agility
• During apprenticeship and later in his warrior days, one of his favorite pastimes will be sparring with his clanmates where he can work on honing his skills but also helping out the other in bettering their own, a mutual learning experience. (and possibly a few times where as an apprentice, he challenges a few warriors to really try/test his abilities)
• Sees himself as the mighty protector of those close/dear to him, would be fun to potentially plot out something where he fails and learns the hard way that he cannot save everyone whether it be someone passing or getting severely injured
• Another potential plot where he falls in the river/nearly drowns but gets saved/rescused by a Riverclanner (or clanmate manages to get him out somehow) but develops a fear of water/potentially drowning; inspiration here

BASIC PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Gray is a short-haired lilac tabby tom with olive green eyes. All ragdoll traits seem to have skipped him, leaving him one of, if not the, smallest in the litter. Though short in comparison to his family, Gray would be of average height and build once he has grown. Though not notably handsome, there is a maturity that develops with Gray that can be attractive to those looking for a down-to-earth partner.

Personality.
Outside of the Gray Wolf persona that he creates for himself (see development), at his barest Gray is a very kind, sociable tom with a hidden talent for caring for kits. He carries with him the unwavering belief that there is good in everyone, holding onto that mantra to a fault. He puts his family before anything else, wanting to see them succeed right alongside him - were that to come in conflict with "there is good in everyone", Gray would choose his family over any possible good that there might be in someone who wronged them.
As a kit starting out, Gray is your average kitten, full of endless energy and a lack of shame that allows him to ask any question that comes to mind. He enjoys taking charge in nursery games, despite being smaller than his littermates, and his personality more than makes up for the height he lacks. Occasionally Gray will have to be scolded for being too rough with the other kittens, and he takes these scoldings as a lesson and improves himself based on them. As a warrior when he overcomes and breaks out of the Gray Wolf persona, Gray begins to show more of his own personality, which he is quick to find fault in; to him, he's too average and boring. Really, Gray does his best to improve himself every day by exploring kindness.

• DEVELOPMENT Once Gray becomes aware of the fact that he's been named after his great-grandfather, he makes it his mission to imitate him in every way that he can - which already presents a problem, as Gray Wolf is no longer around to influence the young tom directly, and Gray must rely entirely on the stories told to him by his family to craft his idea of how Gray Wolf was in life. Growing up and creating his 'persona' of who he wants to and "should" be, Gray has little idea for what he truly wants outside of being his great-grandfather; rather troubling, when he also starts to hope his own death will be of infection after a meeting on the Thunderpath. Typically Gray will wave away any concerns or questions about what he wants, because giving the question much thought leaves him feeling rather empty and lost.
• DEVELOPMENT I think it would be interesting to see or plan for someone close to Gray (romantic or familial) to help him set aside this persona that he's created as it grows more consuming over the moons. If taken in a romantic direction, this could solidify Gray's feelings for the other character. If taken in a familial direction, this could provide Gray with a confidant amongst family that he goes to when he doesn't know where else to turn.
