It was stories of the river flooding into camp that had made Moonbeam worry last leafbare about her clanmates, about her training under Salmonshade when they'd been ran from their home from other sources. Stories of the waters washing away even the strongest swimmers that had made it so that the clan had backups within the beech copse, a solid plan in case it were to happen again year after year, but it hadn't come last leafbare and so they had become complacent. It is difficult to wait at the camp for a patrol that may not come back, for injuries to be so severe and a battle so hard-fought that those that lived were too tired to carry those who did not back home to be healed, to be looked after. It feels more difficult now with Robinheart by her side, ready and willing to learn, for in the past this would have been on Moonbeam alone - a task she was more than willing to take on alone - but now it was a burden that would be shared by two meant for the path of healing.
