SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER 2024 SHADOWCLAN EVENT

After Smogstar received the crown and started reigning over ShadowClan in the wake of Chilledstar's unfortunate demise, everyone thought things would be in order... with plenty of experience under his belt, and a tongue that knows how to twist situations into his favor, the new leader had provided a positive outlook for the Clan's future.

That isn't until he falls sick enough to render him unable to continue his duties, and after a moon of no progress on his recovery, he mysteriously disappears. Only seen by a guard at night and never spotted again; ShadowClan is left grappling for a sense of control.

His successor does not deal with this in stride — Mirepurr refuses to entertain even the idea of going to the Moonstone and replace Smogstar. Uncertainty settles in fast...

Welcome to our 2024 Leaf-Fall Event! This is a low-stakes, low-requirement prompt event with a badge for you to take home after the fact.

HOW TO PROMPTS

  • ・Simply post with your character reacting to this new environment in any way you see fit! Reflecting on the past, missing Smogstar, discussing the Clan's future... you can always ask the HP team in the questions channel over at our Discord if you're unsure, but we will be lenient!

    ・This event runs from today, September 21st until October 5th.

    ・In order to qualify for the badge, you will need to post three times.

    ・Comment below with your character's name (tagged!) and a link to your posts. Keep track of it all here and update accordingly, as this thread will be used to give out badges as well!

    ・Threads made before today also count, such as the discovery of Smogstar's disappearance, the search parties, etc.

  • These are not required, nor are they the limit to how you can explore this event's themes! Feel free to go wild, these are just suggestions.


    ・ShadowClan has seen plenty of leaders come and go, and it is quite tiring... your character compares the past with the present, and comes to a conclusion.

    ・Smogstar had the tendency to gain reactions from his peers, whether those are positive or negative. Do you miss him? Are you glad he's gone?

    ・Mirepurr keeps the search going, and still acts like a deputy with a leader to serve. When do you think it is enough? When does hope run out?

    ・The current council of lead warriors is rather tiny. Do you think you should get the chance to join them and strengthen their numbers?

    ・Neighboring Clans could either pose a threat in this vulnerable time... but in the same vein, they could give us some valuable information, on the off-chance they caught a whiff of Smogstar's scent. Would you rather keep these matters to yourself and protect ShadowClan, or do you dare risk it?

    ・Eyes and minds are set elsewhere; there is no imposing helm to answer to currently. Breaking a rule or two is rather easy now.​
