THUNDERCLAN MENTOR / APPRENTICE MATCHMAKING

Name: @SPIDERLILY
Activity level: Casual
What kind of mentor would they be?: Spiderlily is an introvert at heart with an unsavory attitude toward most things in life, but he will make sure his apprentice’s training is worthwhile. He wouldn’t dare waste time on something that wouldn’t be beneficial to their survival, to what could very well make or break their chance of survival. He isn’t vocal, offering minimal words, but explaining things thoroughly and never stopping curiosity. He is strict with the code, and respectful if you find them unpleasant or not, but he is gentle, knowing when to push his apprentice and when to back off. He has a strong parenteral instinct, never risking his apprentice’s life for the sake of experience when they aren’t ready, and trusting them when there comes a time for it. He won’t hand things out on a platter, rather letting his apprentice figure it out themselves, even if it takes a day or even a week. He is patient on most occasions but has an unwavering temper when his apprentice does something reckless, or rule-breaking. He will consider things like past experiences, minor details, and simple facts in his lessons, guiding them on a path of what he hopes to be a well-rounded warrior. He is decent at climbing, perhaps not as good as SkyClan, but a trait he wouldn’t mind passing onto his apprentice, a skill that can be useful in dire times while offering clear, organized guidance, making sure they don’t lose their way, but Spiderlily doesn’t have trouble helping them find their way back, even if it isn’t on the same path.

What kind of mentor would they be?: Very kind and cooperative. Willing to let the Apprentice take the lead on many things and set the pace. However, she isn't a pushover, and has expectations she likes to have met. This could cause some tension with a lazy or reserved apprentice as she will often aim to get any cat out of their shell.

Putting her back up!

name: freckleflame
activity level: high
what kind of mentor would they be?: frecks puts on a very silly and loud exterior, a primarily kind - hearted mentor harboring a hair trigger temper she will quickly realize she had after begun her first mentorship. she is hard - headed and heavily clan oriented ; she has a lot of expectations for her first time training an apprentice and will be unable to hide her disappointment if it doesn't go as planned or if her apprentice isn't as into it as she will be. her first apprentice will mean a lot to her !! will project her insecurities and give them a weird " im the worst / im the best " complex, but their training will focus heavily on combat and ground hunting with a weakness in climbing. would do well with a large, heavier - set cat like herself !!

throwing her back in < 3

Activity level: currently casual but could become pretty active
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: someone who would really bring out the best in him! i.e. bringing him out of his shell and being able to talk to people without shutting down

What kind of mentor would you like for them?: I'd like a mentor that will push her tirelessly for improvement. While others would see that as being too harsh Dust will seek to make them proud of her and form a tight bond with her mentor. She will hate to have any failures so someone who coddles her she will not appreciate

Name: @cormorantswoop

Activity level:
I am active throughout the week, though less active on the weekends as I work doubles on Saturdays.

What kind of mentor would they be?: Cormorantswoop would be the kind of mentor who would willingly train them. However, she will not tolerate disrespect or hate towards her or any other cat in ThunderClan - or the Clans, at a Gathering - and she will make sure that her apprentice knows that. Cormorantswoop will take action in disciplining her apprentice if they do happen to do something that wasn't the right thing to do, but it wasn't the wrong thing, either. Cormorantswoop is looking for an apprentice who would be willing to train as well as listen to her whenever she is instructing them. She will only start pushing them to learn any moves whenever she feels as if she needs to.

(Cormorant is able to double up if you need her to.)

Cormorantswoop's punishments would be:

  1. Feed + Take Care of the Elders for a couple of days (minor punishment)
  2. Confinement to Camp (both minor + major punishment as it depends on how bad the wrongdoing was.)
  3. No training for a quarter / half / full moon (major punishment)
  4. Taking her apprentice to Flamewhisker (minor punishment)
  5. Taking her apprentice to Howlingstar (major punishment)

The traits Cormorantswoop will pass down to her apprentice (Howlingstar is welcome to choose any two out of this list of 20 for her apprentices' warrior ceremony(ies)):
  1. Strength
  2. Skill
  3. Loyalty
  4. Courage
  5. Quick-Thinking Mindset
  6. Grace
  7. Intelligence
  8. Curiosity
  9. Bravery
  10. Ambition
  11. Generosity
  12. Persistence
  13. Creativity
  14. Determination
  15. Intregrity
  16. Considerate
  17. Humbleness
  18. Compassion
  19. Mercy
  20. Conscientious

What kind of mentor would they be?: very straight-forward and more often than not harsh, she will not likely be a good match for meeker apprentices. she gives honesty, and expects the same in return. she likes a good amount of independence in a trainee and fosters that by allowing them to get out of their own messes as long as they are not in direct danger. training is well spread out among skills with an emphasis on combat.

Name: Smokepaw
Activity level: active
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: Looking for someone to really bring out his strengths. He will ideally be more combat skilled, and he will be very headstrong. Will likely need a stern mentor

Name: Skyclaw
Activity level: Casual, 5-10 posts a month
What kind of mentor would they be?: Stern by means of rule following, would dedicate ample time to learning the warrior code before memorizing the territory or learning to hunt/fight. Would put more emphasis into battle training than hunting or tracking, very kill-or-be-killed mentally oriented. Chores are a part of apprenticehood but woulf casually bail his apprentice out of them for other, "more meaningful" tasks.

Name: Luckypaw
Activity level: Casual
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: He's really annoying and is a liar with trust issues + very paranoid. Preferably someone who can handle his antics/chaotic nature (he likes to have fun and cause problems on purpose as a distraction/likes the attention). A mentor who can keep him in check is ideal I think but not someone so strict that would get fed up with him and give up on training Luckypaw.

Name: Asterfrost
Activity level: Casual; 5-10 posts a month.
What kind of mentor would they be?: Stern and patient with an emphasis on duty, law and loyalty. May be cold and blunt at first, but if compatible he may form a strong bond with his apprentice, leading to protectiveness and a gentler side. Troublemaking and deliberate disobedience will be met with impatience and a stricter attitude.

Name: Darkpaw
Activity level: Mid-casual
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: Any! Darkpaw is going to be a troubling apprentice either way. Blantantly two-faced to other apprentices, though it's managed with a cool demeanor, hard-work and loyalty when it comes to his training. Hard to catch in a lie, Darkpaw is slippery, but he means well for Thunderclan.

Name: Sproutpaw
Activity level: Aiming for mid-casual (5-10 per month)
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: Due to being part of the future plot villains adopt set, he'll need a mentor that will mold a cat loyal to ThunderClan and ThunderClan only, with questionable morals otherwise. He's currently rough around the edges and dislikes outsiders, quiet and calculating he'd excel at hunting and fighting strategy but needs help executing the strategies.

Name: @FALCONHEART
Activity level: Casual, 5-10 posts monthly
What kind of mentor would they be?: A sweet mentor who will be a massive pushover at first, uncertain of himself and even more uncertain about being given an apprentice. Very knowledgeable about the territory and the clan, but clearly nervous and jumpy. Would be very open with his apprentice about things he’s unsure of, laying his faults out in the open. Falconheart himself isn’t a great fighter, so his battle training would be mainly focused on self-defense and finding openings to get away. His specialties are hunting and climbing, and a lot of his training would be focused around strategies to hunt more efficiently.

Name: Bigfang
Activity level: Casual (i want to be active but im not going to over hype until he’s more established)
What kind of mentor would they be?:[/b] Bigfang is an intimidating mentor to be placed with. He is gruff and often distant, often only opening his mouth to give a stern lesson or order. Most apprentices would be weary to get on his bad side, especially if they were his own. However, he has one known fatal flaw, he use to be a kittypet.

Strict and strict sometimes lacking patience, Bigfang will push his apprentices to their limits quickly. They will find themselves having little time for fun, if they’re not training or out on patrol he will expect them to do over their share of chores. Your apprentice is a reflection of yourself, Bigfang knows this. He will not tolerate an apprentice who does not welcome hard work, if they don’t pick it up he’ll busy their paws for them.

Though certainly a flawed mentor, no one would be able to deny he is more than capable of turning almost any apprentice into a hardworking and loyal ThunderClan warrior. Tags (WIP at the time of posting this, sorry)

Name: cardinalpaw
Activity level: i post kind of randomly time-wise, but probably at least 10 posts a month
What kind of mentor would you like for them?: he'll need someone that'll be supportive due to the fact that he's going through a lot, but will push him to eventually become a stronger (both physically and in the sense that he will need to grow mentality wise) warrior -- so ideally someone with a good amount of patience that also knows how to be stern and push when needed. he wouldn't do well with someone who is too strict or poor-tempered, though, and there would likely be a conflict here because of how he can also be abrasive and it would result in a multitude of arguments. he would also not do well with someone too kind or lackadaisical because he wouldn't feel as though he's working hard enough and there would be a major conflict of personalities.

Name: @PLOVERHOP
Activity level: Casual
What kind of mentor would they be?: Playful and easygoing, they would aim to motivate their apprentice by making training fun. A spirited and enthusiastic mentor with a tendency to laugh off mistakes with a "just keep trying" mentality. Somewhat lax, but intent on molding a talented warrior nonetheless. May pit their apprentice against others in games and competitions; oblivious to any negative feelings this may incur.

Name: Crescentpaw.
Activity level: Mid-casual.
What kind of mentor would you like for them? Crescentpaw is a reserved feline with a seemingly cold demeanor. She is stern, yet possesses a certain softness to her, and would suit a mentor who is as rule - based as she, and focuses on duty, justice, and order. As both of her parents have since passed, I would like Crescentpaw to have a mentor she can genuinely rely on and look up to, even perceive them as a parental figure of sorts. Although she is guarded, it would be nice to see her open up to someone, and I see that being her mentor.

Name: Lynxroar

Activity level: Usually active throughout the week <3

What kind of mentor would they be?: Lynxroar is the kind of mentor who will stay firm with her apprentice, and is known to stand her ground when it comes to disciplining them. She isn't afraid to take them to Flamewhisker - or Howlingstar, if it comes to that. Lynxroar will make sure her apprentice knows that she does not tolerate disrespect and hate towards her and her Clanmates.

(Lynxroar is able to double up on apprentices if necessary.)

Lynxroar will pass down her rare courage and her leadership skills down to her apprentice.

what kind of mentor would you like for them?: specifically looking for someone who is a part of the future villains plot, alternatively someone who would turn a blind eye or possibly egg on her antagonistic behavior. any personality within that criteria will do. if there is no one fitting, i'd prefer to keep them an npc for plot reasons.
