Welcome to WINDCLAN'S 2023 PROMPT EVENT! The theme is UNITY, so expect to work oocly and icly together to complete this event's prompt list! We hope that despite all of WindClan's hardships and inner-conflicts that these prompts will aid characters in building stronger trust and unity with their clan-mates. Everyone is encouraged to dig deep with these prompts and take advantage of the character development they could offer!
The event will last April 4th to May 4th. If you complete FIVE PROMPTS (per character) within the allotted time you will be prized with a BADGE to show off on your characters profile!
There are THREE PROMPT CATEGORIES to choose from;
- General Prompts - Just about every character would be able to complete these! Warriors and apprentices will find the most ease.
- Tunneler Prompts - Specifically created for tunnelers. Non-tunnelers will be unable to complete these prompts.
- Camp-bound Prompts - Created with those confined to the walls of camp in mind!
Please pay mind to the following rules;
- Posts must be made with a WindClan character on the WindClan board to count.
- You MAY complete prompts from multiple categories if applicable to your character. Though you'll find certain categories will fit your character better depending on their specialty & status.
- Prompts can be completed in response to threads, you do not have to create a thread to complete a prompt. Just remember your response will still have to fully answer the prompt in order for it to count. Please put at least a couple sentences into it and still aim to complete/reply again to threads you jump into.
- One-shots and private threads are OKAY!
- Don't be afraid to plot together to complete these prompts! Aiding each other is super encouraged, after all the theme is unity!
- This thread may be used to track prompt progress & completion!
- If you have any questions please direct them to the HP team VIA the discord server or an on-site DM
- Have fun!

- Prey has been returning to the moors in plentiful numbers! Your cat has a meal that is far too large for them to finish alone. Who do they share it with?
- Those who aren't accustomed to fair weather on the moors find themselves nearly overwhelmed with the number of rabbits around them. they quickly learn just why patrols are team events! Who does your character end up learning from?
- Flowers have brought color and life to windclan's moors. they're too pretty to be left just outside of camp. Are there any gifts that your character would give to a friend, either to decorate their pelt or their nest?
- Your characters are out on a hunting patrol when they hear a hiss! That's no cat, it's a snake! Can your characters identify it? What do they do? How do they react?
- Rabbits Run is a great place to hone any Moor Runner's speed. Why not challenge a clan-mate or two to a race?
- There's something new on outlook rock. Is that a Hawk nest at the very top, or something else? Perhaps you and your patrol should investigate!
- With the heat now beating down across the (mostly) shadeless moors, the fresh-kill pile is at risk of rotting. It should be checked thoroughly each day for any old prey that needs to be thrown out, else the whole pile will be tainted! Unfortunately you and a couple other clan-mates have been assigned to this task, how do they carry it out?
- A few wasps have made a nest at the edge of camp and now they're divebombing any cat who gets too close! Looks like you've been asked to take care of it today with the help of several others.
- Chasing hares is dangerous business, especially when you're not the only predator on the moor! A small, yapping dog is scaring all the rabbits away! It's smaller than most cats, but it sure is a nuisance. What will your characters do about it?
- With cracked paws after a long hunt, your patrol finds themselves at the sun-warmed pool, where they discover a strange creature. It's a frog! How will your characters react to this ShadowClan prey?
- Newleaf is known for its stormy weather. It's been storming for hours, and once it's finally over, your patrol finds themselves ankle deep in a mud puddle! What a mess! Does the patrol try to make a game out it? Or are they stuck and in need of rescuing?
- After a recent accident the clan has become aware of the danger of twoleg traps. Though they are set up to catch foxes the clan is worried they'll only continue to trap their own youth instead. Your patrol is tasked with locating and learning how to disable these traps, be safe!
- WindClan is a very faithful clan and are proud to live out their lives right underneath StarClan's watchful eye. How does your characters faith bring them closer to their clan-mates?
- Patrolling the border of the horse place your patrol spots two long-legged birds pecking at the soil. What do they do? Does the patrol fantasize about hunting such a beast or are they immediately scared away by the birds giant size? (Sandhill cranes are not typically aggressive but they can become territorial if they are nesting nearby. They're unlikely to attack unless the patrol gets too close and are more likely to attempt intimidation. Keep this in mind!)
-
- One of the concerns tunnelers have are cave-ins. Has your character ever been in a cave-in? If so, how did they escape? Maybe the story would make a good lesson to teach other tunnelers, or maybe your character would like to ask if others have been in a cave-in, and what they did in their situation.
- Rabbits and hares aren't the only threat in the tunnels! One day your patrol comes across something unexpected. What do they do?
- Your character and their patrol discovers a new tunnel that your certain wasn't there before! Do they explore it? Where does it lead?
- Working in pairs is an integral part of being a tunneler. does your character have a preferred partner? in what ways do they work best?
- Days spent underground can be long and difficult. But when your character returns to camp at the end of the day, their clanmates are always there to help them relax. how do they use their free time? is there anyone that they seek out when the day is over?
- Windclan knows better than most that rabbits are dangerous prey– tunnelers know that even better. a cornered rabbit in the tunnels lashes out with a vicious kick, but luckily again tunnelers work in pairs. how do they work as a team to take down this panicking prey?
- You realize a clan-mate has been separated from your patrol! How does the team respond? Do they panic or keep their wits about them? Do they find their missing clan-mate or has tragedy struck?
- Tunneling is viewed as a pristine role by many in WindClan, relish in this honorable profession with other tunnelers. Share-tongues and share your first experiences in the tunnels. For older cats, reminisce about the discovery of tunnels and how your characters took to them so quickly!
- While they are satisfied with their lives underground it's important to stay knowledgeable about the moorland too. Your characters decide to touch up on their above ground fighting techniques, and whose better to teach them than the moor runners?
- Your patrol stumbles upon a burrow thick with rabbit scent, the clan will be eating good tonight! However, upon further inspection its a mother rabbit nursing her kits, what does the patrol do?
- ShadowClan's tunnels haven't been checked in quite some time and Sootstar verbalizes that they may become useful again. Your patrol is asked to make sure they're still safe and begin to map out the marshland tunnel system... (There is only one demand, do not show your face above ground on their territory! The patrols objective is not to spy, their focus is to tend to the unused tunnels and ensure they're safe and secure. Nothing that would cause mayhem for Wind or Shadow should be done unless permission is received)
- Speaking of secret tunnels… wouldn't it be nice to discover new ones that sprawled into their other neighbors territories? After all rabbits cross from and to other territories all the time… surely there tunnels are somewhere? Does your patrol set out to find evidence of out-of-territory tunnels themselves? Or do they make an accidental discovery? (Permission for the ThunderClan tunnel to be found is granted. Again please only discover, hunt INSIDE the tunnels, and take care of the tunnels. No spying.)
-
- The winds bring something strange tumbling into camp. Who does your character reach out to to figure out what it is? do they keep it for themselves, or give it to a friend?
- Hours alone make for boring times. come up with a group game to pass the time! Be creative– maybe it is something that could be passed on for generations through windclan's camp.
- Collectively, the kits in the clan notice a clan-mate (or multiple) is feeling down. Teaming up they are determined to cheer up their sad clan-mate, but how?
- An NPC has succumbed to an infection and now hunts with StarClan. It's the duty of the elders to take the body out to burial. What words are exchanged between The attending elders at this time? How do they all feel about witnessing yet another death and burying yet another cat together?
- A hawk flies overhead camp, how does the clan react? Do they take any protective measures?
- A thunderstorm rolls overhead, taking shelter in the tunnels within the camp how does the clan pass the time? Are any frightened kits or spooked elders in need of assuring?
- Check the medicine cats den on the discord server. Are there any characters in need of visiting? Does your character think to bring them new bedding or their fair share of prey?
- The kittens find themselves collectively unable to sleep due to fright after being told a queen's tale intended to keep them behaved. Do they make their lack of slumber known to the other kits? Do they all use the fright they feel to bond and get into shenanigans?
